Reflection

The most important thing that I have learned in this class so far is how to analyze primary sources as opposed to using techniques that are used for deciphering secondary sources. The difference between these was truly something that I had never considered before this class. Potential biases and historical contexts really do effect the way we need to analyze primary sources.

The only question I have about the materials is how historians discern the validity and credibility of a primary source. Since we don’t live in the times they were created, how do we know who is biased and who is not?

I believe most topics and issues were covered well, but I would like to know how more about archival studies.
